Clean Burning High Efficiency Cookers and Heaters for Off-Grid and Resilience Living
We design and make high efficiency clean combustion products for off-grid living and resilience that can also be used in everyday leisure situations for heating and cooking.
We use “waste biomass” (waste plant matter) as a widely available and sustainable energy source for heating and cooking applications.
Our work on ecological heating has been successfully applied in India under the banner of Himalayan Rocket Stove with over 4000 families now enjoying high efficiency clean combustion heating and cooking across the Himalayas.
Our no-cost Smokeless Cookstove designs are also in thousands of homes, being shared by the not-for-profit Smokeless Cookstove Foundation in India as part of a community outreach program.
We are now turning our attention towards practical cooking and heating solutions for the Australian context.
The concept for these is simple: make them locally in Australia in a way that keeps production costs down; make them accessible, modular and easy to use; add accessories to expand the functionality according to the user’s needs; make them able to operate with a range of biomass options (pellets and wood) with a highly efficient and low polluting output.
Resilience Living
We live in uncertain times, and the skills we have developed for communities in the developing world can equally apply to anyone anywhere in times of rapid change and challenge.
No one is exempt from the possibility of sudden and unexpected loss of convenience… learning how to cook on clean fire is an excellent way to boost your local resilience.
The Eco Stoves Range is designed to be flat packable for ease of storage and transport, yet when assembled are highly robust and made to withstand extremes of temperature.
Eco Stoves Cooker
The Eco Stoves Cooker is our multi function heat engine that is ideal for camping, home based cooking and general resilience in a range of situations. Running on both biomass pellets or locally available wood and sticks, this is a versatile and incredibly robust cookstove for any occasion.
All of our cookstoves are made to be modular so that various attachments can be added as needed. Some of the attachments currently in development include a slot oven (ideal for pizza), a patio heater and a BBQ hotplate as well as various multi-pot cooktops. These attachments simply bolt on and off with ease and can be hot swapped whilst the cooker is in use.

Eco Stoves Heater
The Eco Stoves Heater is a small footprint high heat output unit that is especially good for small rooms / tiny homes / caravans / tents and even outdoors on your patio.
Running on both biomass pellets or locally available wood and sticks, this is a versatile and incredibly robust combustion heater that really cranks out the heat and gives space for cooking on a single pot as well.
Eco Stoves Heaters are made to be modular so that various attachments can be added as needed. Some of the attachments currently in development include a water jacket, child safety screens, glass panel for viewing the rocket in full blast, slotted heat panel for additional convective heat transmission and the option of wall mount or feet for free standing on the floor.
