Rocket Man Designs / Business partnerships

Good design.
Local capability.
Practical heat.

Bring an established rocket stove design into regional manufacture. RMD works with capable partners to explore what can be built, where it fits and how to make the partnership work.

A design-led manufacturing model

Build on experience.
Make it work locally.

A useful stove is more than a drawing. Materials, fabrication, fuel, installation and the people using it all matter. A regional partner brings the local knowledge and production capability; RMD brings its combustion design experience.

The proposed model combines a materials and design package with permission to manufacture and sell an agreed product in an agreed region, for a fee and an ongoing royalty arrangement. Rates and terms are discussed for each partnership.

We begin by checking the specific product, design rights and existing regional arrangements. Only designs and rights confirmed as available can form part of an offer.

Three parts to a workable partnership

01

The design package

A materials and design package, including SolidWorks design files for the agreed product and version. Documentation and handover are defined around the manufacturing scope.

02

The regional partner

A business with the capability to manufacture, manage quality and support its customers. We look at facilities, supply chains, market needs and a realistic route to production together.

How we get there
03

The commercial agreement

A fee and royalty arrangement with the product, territory and responsibilities clearly defined. Rates, duration, reporting and any exclusivity are matters for discussion and written agreement.

What we agree

Design in practice / India

A real example.
A useful starting point.

Himalayan Rocket Stove in India shows the connection between combustion design, local production and products developed through use. Its Eco range provides a public example of this design-to-manufacture approach.

It is a reference for the work, not a standard contract for a new region. Each proposed partnership needs its own product, market and rights review.

Know your market?
Let’s talk about the build.

Tell us where you work, what you can manufacture and who you want to serve. We’ll start with product fit, regional arrangements and the practical next step.

A useful first conversation

  • Your organisation and proposed region
  • The product, application and customers you have in mind
  • Your fabrication, quality control and support capability
  • Likely scale, timing and questions to resolve

An enquiry starts a discussion. Product availability, rights, scope and commercial terms are confirmed before any agreement.
